the "family friend" line is such a classic punch to the gut. i remember finding out my ex started dating the girl he told me not to worry about because they were basically cousins, and the sheer betrayal of realizing you were lied to the whole time makes you question your own sanity.
what helped me stop spiraling was hiding her on everything so i stopped getting updates. you can't start moving on when you're constantly staring at proof that she wasn't honest with you.
Nah we have a kid together so she keeps coming back to me saying she misses her kid
