What hurts more: speaking up or staying silent after a breakup?

So, tell me.....what hurts worse?

Saying something and wishing you had not, or saying nothing and wishing you had?

i’ve regretted saying the thing way more than i expected. sometimes i replay those words for weeks, wishing i had just kept them in my head.

for me, saying nothing hurts more when i know i stayed quiet just to protect my pride. i’d rather be honest once and deal with the answer than keep making up answers in my head.

which one are you sitting with right now, the words you wish you could take back or the words you wish you had said?

For me, saying something and wishing I hadn’t. Imagine you say something, even write a whole paragraph and then get a cold reply, get left on seen or receive just a few words. It can make me question my self esteem and lose my confidence.

The latter. I feel it is worse because then it swells and leads to other emotions -- which usually causes the former.

for me it’s hurts to say nothing and wish I had I’d always say and regret but can’t sit with the pain of keeping words and feelings inside
