Five years after an amicable breakup due to long distance my ex-girlfriend suddenly unfollowed and removed me on Instagram right after I posted my first Instagram note.
We live in different countries and hadn't interacted in years so the sudden timing has left me overthinking. I'm still deeply in love with her and wonder if seeing my note brought up painful nostalgia for her or if I'm just inventing a story because I miss her. I also catch myself regretting not engaging more with her posts over the past year.
How do you handle a sudden unfollow after years of peaceful distance and how do you stop yourself from searching for hidden meaning behind it?

Mmmm my first boyfriend, we were friends after the break up, then he said something mean one day and after that I stopped communicating with him, one day like one year later or more idk he removed me from his friends on fb and unfollowed me on instagram, he got a new girlfriend
Do not deprive yourself of peace searching for answers that shouldn't carry weight.
