in our no contact agreement we had both agreed to take the rest of the year off, due to my own feelings and her own new relationship. we had decided to meet somewhere in the beginning of January. however I can't stop thinking about that day coming up, I know I should just focus on the here and now up to this point. but it's really hard to. meeting up back in January doesn't necessarily mean we resume our relationship as normal, it would just mean it would be a way for us to check to see if we were both ready to have a mutual friendship again. what part of me is afraid she'll just forget about me and forget about meeting up again. and sometimes I can't stop thinking about it to the point I would want to reach out for reassurance again. and I'm overthinking what I would actually do on that day, but we would have to discuss if she did show up. what if she doesn't show up? well I just be sitting at the place like an idiot? it's honestly too early to tell hopefully in a month or a few I would stop thinking about it as much.

the panic of waiting on a set date while she is in a whole new relationship is actual torture. i remember counting down the days to a planned check-in with my ex, spiraling every single night worrying he would just blow it off or completely forget about me, and it made me feel so small and desperate
write down what YOU actually want out of that meetup, and if the anxiety keeps eating you alive, give yourself full permission to change your mind and skip it entirely.
