After 11 years together I initiated a separation from my husband due to years of emotional disconnection and a dead bedroom. He spent months begging to reconcile while I was hesitant but by the time I realized in June that I wanted to save our marriage his feelings had changed.
He started dating someone else a few months ago. While he says he still loves me writes emotional letters and plans to break up with the other woman he declined my proposal for a three-month exclusive trial to rebuild our marriage. Instead he only wants to spend time together casually without commitment.
I know my initial rejection contributed to this but walking away from an 11-year relationship with love still left feels impossible. Do you think he has truly fallen out of love or is he just putting up walls to protect himself after feeling rejected for so long?

Timing is everything. And it’s not the end of your love. It has changed. For both of you. It may continue to do so.
The longer you are apart, the easier it is to mive forward without you. Many times the day to day is what keeps people together.
I think this happened for the better, I know it hurts and you may even feel betrayed by him now but you initiated a separation for a reason and maybe the issue had been there for a long time before that. there was a reason you didn’t want to reconcile. listen to that. as hard as this sounds but you need to accept and be responsible for your own choices you made and believe in that.

You left him for months in limbo, not knowing if you would come back…
What do you expect?
He will always love you, but you tore his world apart and you are no longer his safe space. You betrayed his trust, there's no coming back from that.
