it’s been 1 week since we broke up on her terms. I was completely devastated that same day where I wasn’t sure if I could go on. 2 months together felt like an entire lifetime. It sounds crazy but that’s how she made me feel. Talked about our future, where we’d go, things we’d do. A bunch of Polaroids, swapped shirts, constant meme exchange lol. Religion seperated us, or at least that’s what she said. That she heard a voice from God saying we were not meant to be, so she ended it. I’m just so tired, confused, angry, and depressed.

that sounds like such a painful mix of love, anger, and confusion, especially when God was brought into the reason for ending things. can i ask, did she talk about her doubts around religion before the breakup, or did this come completely out of nowhere?
we had talked about it before we got together. that she was okay with us being different, then all of a sudden it changed. we had an arguement 3 days prior to the breakup, that I thought we got through. I respected her boundaries but I guess I was never enough
when my relationship ended, i kept replaying every promise, trying to figure out how something that felt so real could disappear so fast. i had to stop looking for an explanation that would make the ending feel fair, because i was only exhausting myself.
You are not crazy. Mine was only 1 month and 2 weeks but I feel like I lost a part of me that I may never get back. I was so attached and I loved and still love him so much that it scares the shit out of me. I can't say I'm over him yet but I'm learning to let go. I still break down sometimes but I remind myself that it's okay. One day I will get through this. I can miss him, yearn for him and still choose to let go.
two months can feel like a whole lifetime when someone makes you believe you're building a future together. i've had a short relationship leave me absolutely wrecked too, especially when there were all these little things that felt like they belonged to us. the Polaroids and swapped shirts must hit so differently now
