in 4 months it'll be the one year mark since we separated. although it's only been 4 months since the divorce has been final. I realize this on the way to the store the other day and it made me sad. time just flies by when the person you love isn't with you.

that little realization on the way to the store hurts. 💔 i remember having those random moments where i realized how much time had passed without the person i thought i'd spend my life with.
i think the hardest part for me was realizing life kept moving even when my heart was still catching up. the divorce being final probably brings its own kind of sadness too, so please be gentle with yourself.
when you realized the one-year mark was getting close, did it hurt more because of how much time had passed or because you imagined you'd still be together by now
