On Tuesday, he sent me a message and then deleted it. Today, he sent me another message and talked about everything. Later in the evening, he explained that I need to give him some space, claiming that I haven't been allowing him that. He told me: "I am focusing on myself and trying to stand firmly on my own two feet, because there is a great future ahead for us together—if the Lord spares me and grants His blessing." I honestly don't know whether to believe him or not. He insists that if I give him his space, I won't regret it. He also mentioned that he wants things to be different by 2027, God willing. Now I want to know: why didn't he say this in the first place—that he was dealing with his own personal concerns?
can someone give me advice please 🙏

this made my stomach drop because i spent two years holding out hope for a guy who used that exact same "future together" promise whenever he wanted to pull away. he messaged you and deleted it, then flipped it around to make you feel like you aren't giving him enough space, and that hot and cold routine is so exhausting.
So he wants it all his way and your feelings dont matter????? Love yourself more and find someone who would not disrespect you so badly. Most of all please realize you deserve better than being treated so badly
when an ex threw out big promises about the future while pulling back in the present was taking a step back and giving him infinite space. stop waiting by your phone for 2027 and focus on what he is actually giving you right now, which is crumbs and mixed signals.
So, the guy told me that one day, when he was hanging out with Ash, Ash’s cousin showed up. He didn’t realize at first that it was Ash’s cousin—it was the first time he’d met her in person—but soon after, Ash mentioned who she was. He insisted that nothing happened; if you know Ash well, you’ll know he’s not like that. He said he didn’t do anything—they just had a few drinks together, and then he went home. Then we talked about the two of you and the situation with Wendall. He says you should just give him a chance, because he’s still dealing with the drama surrounding Wendall—like having to go back home and all that. But you don’t need to worry; he has plans for the two of you for the future. You just need to be a little patient, as he’s still stressed about the Wendall situation—he says it’s all just a bit too much. He basically asked for some space to sort out all that mess, but don’t worry—he’ll come back to you once everything is figured out. I told him, "No, I understand," because I really don’t want to get caught up in your problems. After that, we went back to talking about our own stuff. He just needs some time and wants you to be patient with him—that’s all. So, yeah, that’s it.
he told my cousin this
he give you any actual timeline or boundary for this space, or is he just expecting you to wait around indefinitely while he figures his life out?
I think he's giving you mixed messages. There might be something he's not saying.
