3.5 years together. I'm aged 51 and he is 53. We both have 2 boys each ages between 19 and 22.
We have been on 10-12 holidays and have recently taken all our boys to Peru. Organised by me but cost shared. We did not live together but spent at least 3-4 nights together.I organise nearly everything.

Well 3 marriage proposals from him but him not really meaning it when pushed on it. Wouldn't tell his parents as nervous of their views! Hes 53!
2 houses about to buy and he changed his mind last minute.
Snappy when stressed at work.
Telling me he's down and constantly snapping but manages to be lovely with mates.
When he's happy he's lovely but if not snappy.
Organises and plans so little. Just keeps saying how amazing it is i do. I have pushed back so many times..Then he manipulates it and says im nagging
Final straw...my best friend messaged to check for definite wedding date was off(provisionally booked -deposit paid) as she had been invited to somewhere else.
Sent him her message. Rather than reassure me and shout from the hilltops Yes of course, I'm sorry let's do it! He texted He's a mess, this is a mess and we need to be sure.
Done. Dooor closed. Feel like i should have left a long time ago. I usually give sound advice....clearly didn't take my own.
It's only been 3 days since but i do not want to go back. Life is for feeling peace and joy.

Yes. Absolutely. Thank you. I would have continued to feel frustrated and unhappy.
the hot and cold, the big promises then pulling back when it got real. i stayed way longer than i should have too, hoping the good version of him would stick. that switch between lovely and snappy really give a headache 💔
