no contact didn't make me stop loving my ex overnight, but it gave me enough space to hear my own thoughts again instead of chasing theirs. that was the first thing that actually helped me.
100% effective. It allows the time and space to reflect and bring yourself back to yourself (if that makes sense) But you have to do the work. You cant just sit there watching your phone hoping they will come back. You need to process what went wrong in the relationship, how they contributed and how you contributed, if/how you've abandoned yourself in any way. When you heal, then you become indifferent to whether they come back or not
i didn't believe no contact would help either. i kept hoping they'd reach out, but every time i broke it i ended up hurting all over again. once i stuck with it, the noise in my head slowly got quieter.
No contact is effective for moving on and protecting your sense of self respect and emotional safety while you’re still vulnerable. It’s not an effective tool for getting them back. It can show them that you know how to maturely proccess your feelings and respect boundaries, but it won’t make them want to be with you again if that’s not what they want.

how long have you been in no contact? are you hoping it helps you move on, or are you secretly hoping it brings them back?
Hoping that they are going back
