I’m trying to maintain no contact with my ex. We usually end up talking again after about a week, but this time I’ve made it to 15 days without reaching out, even though I’ve had the urge. I know the ultimate goal is to make no contact permanent, but for now I’m setting smaller milestones. Since I’ve already doubled my previous record of 7 days, what do you think would be a good next milestone to challenge myself?

15 days is HUGE.
thank youuu
i used to reset after a week every single time, then i started aiming for little wins instead of forever. somehow that felt way less overwhelming.
really? How was it like for you?
what usually pulls you back after a week? is it loneliness, curiosity about what they're doing, or hoping they'll say something different this time?
I think its a mix of all. Its mostly comfort that I seek but when i go back, with comfort comes a lot of pain each time which seems worth it. Its a loop that is hard to get out of.
any progress is progress. I keep getting back to day one as well. you’ll get there. just indeed take it day by day.
Taking it one day at a time does not motivate me. Does it help you?
@CozyKind972 no it doesn’t but it is what it is. at some point I will start to care less. I mean honestly I keep the bad stuff as it is more than the good.
Congratulations on reaching 15 days! Maybe by reaching 4 weeks, you'll feel even more settled in the new habit of no contact, so maybe doubling your 15 days might be a good next goal?
Ohhh thanks! Yes I will try my best to double it
