During the period of my "healing" I constantly move from one state to another. One day, the pain turns to forgiveness, then gratitude, then resentment, then anger, and then it becomes pain again. And the worst part is that it always comes in waves. I can go weeks without it, and then I can't think about anything else for a month.
But anyway, time heals, I'm sure.
Thanks a lot to this app, seeing the stories of people who understand what you're going through is very inspiring.

seeing those feelings change means i wasn't frozen anymore. when i bounced between anger and forgiveness, i let each one exist instead of trying to force myself to "be healed." that helped me more than i expected.
yeaah, thank you for your opinion, I understand that letting feelings just exist is very useful, but sometimes it's just unbearably difficult...
i used to get a few peaceful weeks too, then one random memory would drag me right back. i stopped judging those waves after a while, they just got a little smaller
those waves are SO real. i'm curious, is there something that usually sets them off for you, or do they just show up out of nowhere?
most often, this is some kind of trigger. smell, taste, place, sound, song...
The positive of these feelings cycling through in waves is that you also know that the wave will pass. I agree this app is very helpful. My friends im sure are sick of hearing me talk about it. uts great to have support from others going through it as well. I also find offering help and advice to others is healing.
