We talk daily but only when i initiate, His replies are inconsistent everyday sometimes warm, somtimes cold. He restricted and muted me in any social media platforms. Not blocked or unfriended. We keep talking everyday about games but i really do have an urge to talk with him about emotional topics. But, yeah he's an avoidant soo i held back. I'm just wondering why did he restrict or muted me in socials but still replies when i text in game. Any thoughts about this?

always me... he replies when i do make a move
there with an avoidant too. he'd answer in one place and shut every other door, and i spent SO much time trying to decode it. it kept me hopeful, but it also kept me stuck.
because conversations about games is a very low stakes conversation. everything else is too close, too intimate for them to handle
Because males aren't complicated. They can compartmentalise things.
