i fell in love with someone i had a summer thing with years ago and somehow i still think about him every single day. i know deep down we probably won’t ever become anything more than a memory and that’s the part that hurts the most.
i don’t know how to let him go or stop replaying everything in my head. it feels like i’m stuck holding onto something that has nowhere to go and i’m worried it’s becoming unhealthy.
i don’t really have anyone i can talk to about this so i’d really appreciate any advice or support.

i was grieving the dream as much as the person. i stopped trying to force myself to "get over it" overnight, and the thoughts slowly lost their grip on me.
That is the hardest part. sitting alone with the memories
i spent thinking about someone who was only in my life for a few months, and i hated myself for it. it wasn't because i was weak, i just never really got the chance to say goodbye to what i thought we could've been
do you still have anything that keeps you connected to him, like social media, old messages, or is it mostly the memories that keep pulling you back?
is he the one you're in no contact since seven days with ?
Same boat that you’re in right now, summer thing with a girl, hit it off really well and caught so many feelings for her, she had feelings for me too. But unfortunately I completely self imploded and sabotaged what we had.
