How do i move on after being kicked out before our anniversary?

Author

I got broken up with and kicked out of my bfs house. 2 days before our 10 month anniversary which is today. I had to uproot my daily life, leave our cat and it hurts. He said we weren't compatible, "our love languages are different". I lost my rock, I realize I was clingy but I just never wanted him to disappear. He didn't want to work things out and I still miss him. And i can't do anything to change what happened. I've never felt this heartbroken. Ik i'm young but it's shattering me. What can I do to move on and focus on myself? I have classes for college starting in 3 weeks and don't want to cry all the time. I have feelings in these waves, up and down all day, hurting me. I want to let him go since he did first. Any advice would help.

this sounds so fresh. do you have somewhere safe and comforting to stay right now, and someone you can be around when those waves hit?

that awful feeling of losing the person, the home, the routine, all at once. getting kicked out and leaving your cat behind too sounds brutal, so please don’t beat yourself up for falling apart right now.

I understand you. If possible, stay away from that person and experience your feeling. Take at least an hour a day. It may be difficult for you to do this at first, but even a simple shower will sometimes be enough for it. Don't worry, we're all going through things, everyone here understands you. Don't feel alone.

what does he mean your love languages are different? everyone's love languages are different.

My only advice is to sit with your feelings since its still so fresh. Allow all the pain and hurt and tears to come out. It all needs to be felt in order to move forward.

Classes starting in 3 weeks will be a good distraction from it all, in the meantime, go for long walks, catch up with friends, listen to music, just dont stay in bed spiralling. Any distraction will be good, I found little moments of connection helped - whether that be with a cashier at the grocery store, someone walking their dog, even just a smile at a stranger

he meant that i was too clingy/overbearing since my love language is touch. I crave being around and feeling the love. While he was just content being in the same room. He said i needed too much attention.

It just scares me of how long this will last. The feeling of missing him, him being in my life and his touch. I need to feel it out but damn does it hurt. It hurts so much rn.

I really appreciate the advice though and will try to journal td or just take a shower.
