It's about giving yourself enough distance to stop chasing answers, stop checking and finally hear your own thoughts again.
If they miss you they'll feel that on their own.
And if they don't, you'll still have gained something....you'll have learned that you can live without chasing someone who chose to leave.

giving myself that distance was the first time i started hearing my own thoughts again
i really needed to hear this when i was chasing someone who had already chosen to leave. did you find that the checking was giving you answers, or just reopening the wound?
i kept checking my phone and looking for little signs that she'd come back, and honestly it just kept me stuck in the same hurt.
but he keeps coming back and leaving again what should i do
if nothing actually changes when he comes back, i’d probably stop letting him have access to me like that....... coming back isn’t the same as staying.
but what if he keeps checking in in a polite way, a friendly way
should i just stop answering?
i feel like i would just look lunatic
if replying keeps pulling you back into the same feelings, you’re allowed to stop answering......you don’t owe someone access to you just because they’re being nice
it's so weird how life just continues without them 🥲 I have to get up everyday and pretend that I'm okay. I miss him a lot 💔
I feel you 💔 I’m only a few days into no contact and honestly some moments I’m okay, then out of nowhere I start thinking about everything we did and how quickly life changed. He even found someone else so soon and that part has been really hard for me to process. But I’m slowly accepting that I can’t keep chasing answers. I guess we just have to take it one day at a time..... we'll get through it 🫂
