Is he playing games? what should i do after my ex reached out?

I have a problem and I don't know what to do. After we broke up and my life started to stabilize, my ex came back and said he needed to talk to me urgently. He said he would call me later that day, but he didn't. The next day he called, and when I called back, he didn't answer, and so on—it's like we're chasing each other. After my mind had finally calmed down, I'm back to square one, waiting for his call, arguing with him in my head, and overthinking everything... Should I send him a message telling him not to try to contact me again and to stop playing games, or what should I do?

do you actually want to hear what he has to say, or do you mostly want the waiting and uncertainty to stop?

wanted the waiting to stop and this chaos to end.. I sent him that we are done and that he shouldn't contact me again, and I blocked him.

my ex would pop back up just enough to mess with the peace i'd finally found, and i hated how quickly i went back to waiting for my phone
