My boyfriend and I mutually ended our relationship because he is undocumented and urgently needs to marry a citizen for legal status. As a young adult just starting my career and relying on my parents I wasn't in a position to marry him so he planned to pursue a marriage of convenience instead.
Despite comforting me after the split—promising a future together once his papers were resolved and declaring his love—he began reaching out to other women just two days later. When I called him out he claimed he needed time apart to solve his immigration issues and that keeping in touch was too painful. Although I initially begged to make it work day by day he urged me to understand his position. I've since cut him off on social media but watching him quickly follow other women makes me doubt his motives and wonder if his immigration rush was just a cover to move on.

i think cutting him off was probably kinder to yourself than watching every follow and trying to decode what it means.
you think you’re questioning his immigration situation itself, or the possibility that he had already emotionally checked out before you two ended?
i’ve been through that kind of breakup where the explanation made sense in my head, but their actions afterward made me question EVERYTHING. seeing an ex follow new women almost immediately can make all those promises about a future together feel so damn confusing
I usually ask myself in this situation “do you really wanna marry a guy who can settle with any woman, has no boundaries and easily replaces you? Can you trust this guy to be the father of your children?” what he does shows you who he is, my dear. I feel the ick already by reading this. I hope you recover and never ever meet this kind of man ^^ sending many loves for you
i would honestly say that just cut ur losses and move on forward...if he wants to come back into ur life he knows where to find u but pls consider the possibility of moving on and living ur life without him
