I’ve been in love with one of my friends for a while now. About a year ago she explicitly told me that she sees me strictly as a friend and her actions continue to reflect that.
Despite knowing where she stands my feelings haven't faded and part of me keeps holding out hope that her perspective might shift over time. I’m at a crossroads: Should I express my feelings again even though she’s already given me a clear answer? Or should I accept that she isn't interested in a romantic relationship and start moving on?
I’d love to hear from anyone who has navigated a similar situation. How did you know when it was finally time to stop holding out hope and let go?

She told you how she feels. You can ask her for confirmation again, but when she tells you the same thing again, move on.
You are waiting for something that isn't going to happen. She has told you she only sees you as a friend. Move on. Out there somewhere is a person who will love you.
I think it’s time to move on buddy. Sounds like she’s a good friend but you’re wasting your time and energy waiting for it to become anything else
It is time to stop waiting. It is one thing had it been said a few weeks in and only one time. Th
I've been in the complete same situation, in a way. To be completely honest with you, the utmost important thing is to respect your friends feelings. I'm not saying "distance yourself forever", but I think that she clearly stated that she see's you as a friend, which is mandatory to respect and not push her boundaries. I get that it's hard.
Do not hold onto hope. She has clearly stated she only sees you as a friend. If anything changed, she would tell you or you would notice she would try to touch or hug you more than before.
The best course of action is to cut her from your life. Temporarily or permanently is up to you. But be away from her long enough to lose those feelings
