Why missing you doesn't mean i should reach out

Sometimes you can really miss someone and still know reaching out isn't what you need. Healing is learning that you don't have to act on every feeling you have.

Real, missing the person doesn’t take away all of the disrespect. It doesn’t automatically make them change and become a better person. It doesn’t make you feel seen. It’s okay to miss someone and simultaneously know it’s better to let go

writing down every single text i wanted to send him in a locked note on my phone gave those urges somewhere to go without breaking my peace. it kept me grounded until the urge faded.

This is actually such a good idea......m sometimes you just need somewhere to put the words without actually sending them

what is the hardest time of day for you when those urges to reach out creep back in?

Honestly for me it’s usually at night, everything feels louder when you’re alone with your thoughts

i spent so many nights with my thumb hovering over the call button, convinced that missing him meant i WAS supposed to text. taking a step back and realizing a feeling is just a wave that passes saved me from resetting my progress a hundred times

This is so true .......sometimes you just have to let the feeling pass instead of acting on it.......I’m learning that too
