my rule is if they don't wish you a happy b day, then you don't wish them one.
we were together when he wished on my bday soo
don’t do anything
are you feeling more mad at yourself for sending it, or just grieving that cold tone from him?
it wasnt cold it was warm
yea he said '' thanks so much fiii, means a lot🫶🏼🫶🏼''.. we're not friends but he hasnt reached out and chose distance on purpose to avoid hurting me.. hes a textbook definition of an 'avoidant'..
delete his thread right now so you aren't staring at his name waiting for another message. putting your phone in another room and going for a long walk or calling a friend is the only thing that stopped me from double texting when that birthday regret hit.
i dont regret it
my ex birthday was on September 21st and we friends so I said happy birthday he said thank youuuuuuu
we're all so delulu
that immediate crash after breaking no contact is so sickeningly familiar. i broke a 5 month streak just to text my ex "happy birthday" last year, and the dry polite response made me feel more discarded than the actual breakup did. it is like ripping the scab right off when you were finally starting to heal.
thankfully he wasnt rude so i didnt crash..
you keep moving forward
ive tried therapy and medication but nothing is working and i feel like im still stuck where i was on day 1 of no contact.. idk how to move forward
His birthday is in 3 months 🥺 We had plans for his birthday. Obviously I'm not sure how things will be when it gets to that point, so I'm just trying to focus on myself. If I were you, I probably would've messaged saying happy birthday. The fact that he at least replied is something, I'd say. Ofcourse, it's not everything, and you'll still miss him, but you've come a long way. Keep doing you, focus on the things that are helping you and are making you feel a little bit okay, if not really happy yet. Here for you, take care!
