After he refused to respect my decision about not letting him into the apartment alone to collect his things, I honestly got so angry. It just feels so unfair how he always seems to get what he wants, no matter. So I finally told him everything I’d been holding back.
I told him how disrespectful he had been to me throughout our two years together, how much he hurt me, and how his behavior after the breakup completely destroyed the trust I had left in him. I told him that he has to live with the consequences of his own actions now, that he has no right to enter an apartment that belongs to my dad whenever he wants, and that even my dad doesn't want him there alone.
I’ve kept so much to myself because I didn’t want to hurt him or make things worse, but I reached my limit.
Now I’m honestly scared of his reaction. I don’t know what he’s going to say, and the thought of going to sleep knowing there might be a message waiting for me when I wake up that I won’t want to read is making me so anxious. I know I had a right to stand up for myself, but I still find it terrifying after spending so long being afraid of how he might react to things.

Being afraid of someone’s reaction after being honest about your feelings is the reddest reddest blood dripping blood bath Red Sea flag that has ever been created.
I am SO thankful, SO thankful!! that you broke up with this weirdo forgive my French but Mofo!
I have to ask though, are you physically safe? Do not, and I repeat, do NOT find yourself ever alone with this man again, ever. LISTEN!
not in his car. not in the apartment, nowhere and I mean nowhere private! you are dealing with a man-child. I am being serious! You think you’re dealing with a logical human being that’s why you’re trying to understand his actions and explain to him how he hurt you, and try to make him aware of his actions.
Would you try to teach a two year old quantum physics? Algebra? Astronomy? Why not? Why wouldn’t you?
Because they’re two? DUH. Of course. You think that because he had tiny bits of logic here and there, he is a fully functioning emotionally mature adult, and deep down if you talk enough he’ll discover it.
it doesn’t exist! I promise it doesn’t exist! there is no depth. NO DEPTH.
This man makes you feel FEAR. That is not an adult you want to be around c ever. Do NOT be alone wit him, EVER. EVER!!
the exact knot in my stomach the first time i finally called out my ex after years of walking on eggshells. it is so terrifying when you're used to keeping the peace just to protect yourself from their anger, but you should be so proud of yourself for setting that boundary for your space and your dad's home
when i was terrified of waking up to a nasty text was muting his notifications completely before going to sleep and leaving my phone in another room. you don't have to read his response the second you open your eyes, so give yourself permission to look at it only when you feel ready and safe.
there a friend or someone in your family who can stay over with you tonight or check your messages for you so you don't have to do it alone
you don’t need to see his reply! you passed your message across.. block him and I’m sorry you’re going through this
girl, block him
