I asked him about the possibility of him blocking me after when he got his stuff back tomorrow, and his answer honestly hurt way more than I expected.
He said he wants to completely end contact because he wants to get this whole situation and “energy” out of his life and finally move on. He also said he doesn’t hate me, understands if i hate him because everything he has done and doesn’t wish me anything bad.
I just don’t really understand why blocking me is necessary when I’ve already told him that I won’t and don't want to reach out anymore. I’m not asking to stay in contact, talk, or be part of his life. Because i don't even want that. I was actually planing to leave everything completely alone and have my distance. I just don’t want to be actively blocked and completely cut off.
Maybe that sounds silly to some people, but after almost two years together, the idea of suddenly being completely shut out by someone who was such a huge part of my life hurts like hell. Especially because I just started to accept the fact that he wasn't good to me and that i don't want him back in my life romantically.
I really want to ask him not to do it, but I don’t want to sound desperate. I just want him to understand why it hurts and maybe reconsider.
I genuinely don’t know what to say to him right now. Would you guys ask him not to block you in this situation? And if so, how would you word it without making it sound like you’re begging for contact? I could really use some opinions because this completely knocked me back down when I thought I was finally starting to feel a little better.

Girl let go and let God. Your brain is still attached to him, but I promise in a few months it’s like you’ll wake up and see this situation SO clearly you’ll wonder why you wanted him to be in your life anyway. Go read the books I suggested in one of my earlier posts. Are you in therapy?
after almost two years, being told “i want this whole energy out of my life” would’ve crushed me too, especially right when i was finally accepting that i didn’t even want him back.
wanting to ask my ex not to block me because it felt like being erased. honestly, i left it alone in the end, and that hurt like hell at first, but i stopped giving him the power to decide whether i felt connected to him.
i’d probably leave the request unsent for tonight. do you think you want him to understand why it hurts, or do you think a part of you is still hoping the conversation might change what he’s decided?
I think i just want him to see my hurt but also see if he has changed. In this relationship he always got what he wanted and has throw basically tantrums when things didn't go his way. i always had to be the one that stepped back and make his way possible.
He already answered and said he won't change his mind and i need to learn to accept things. So that just shows me that he will always be selfish and only does what he wants. Also telling me to "learn accept things "after those two years is insand
Why are you so scared of it? Maybe it's just to protect himself, it's not specifically against you... I blocked my ex although I love him so much, I can't wait for his message constantly... We need closure, because that's what he wanted.
