Hi Chat,
Does curiosity ever get the best of you and you willingly check on someone’s social media that you know you shouldn’t? The only “social media” we are on is the dating app we’re matched on. I went on his profile and saw he changed a photo. Initally it stung and I said “oh no, I hurt my feelings.” When the initial shock wore off something in myself woke up. I wasn’t as bothered as I imagined. Any genuine human would choose having that difficult conversation over ghosting. Anyways, if I feel unbothered by that change, I’m optimistic I will be good. Healing is nonlinear but I’m ready to leave this person behind.

feel like that change in his photo brought up two things at once, the hurt of being ghosted and the relief of seeing you're ready to move on. do you feel like you got the closure you needed within yourself, even without that conversation?
Yes, those two things were brought up. I won’t deny that. I’m delusional and still would love an apology from this dude but I know this won’t occur.
that curiosity doesn't mean i'm going backwards. i'd let myself feel the sting, then close the app and get back to my own life. i love that you're choosing to leave this behind.
If someone can leave me, let alone ghost, during a loss of a dear and good friend, you’re not welcome in my beautiful life I’m building for myself
i've definitely checked an ex's profile when i knew it would probably sting. but that moment when you realize it doesn't hurt nearly as much as it used to? i remember feeling so proud of myself for that.
slowly but surely taking it one day at a time.
are you ready to go full no contact and block him on the dating app?
Slowly but surely working my way towards unmatching him from the app. We haven’t texted in a month but I know unmatching needs to happen.
@365babybrat wait until you are ready.
