Well this morning was probably the roughest moment ive had so far. I have been forcing myself to work and im realising that the best way to get through this is just not to think about him. Because the second he pops into my head the grief washes over me and punches me in the gut. Your mind can really play tricks on you and it can spiral if you let it. You can tell yourself all sorts of things and start to believe them. But I have to remain calm and just tell myself, he did love me, and we did have a wonderful time, and yes he probably will meet someone else, because he is a great person. I have to tell myself that there are so many people on this planet that have never had a bf or gf, or kissed or had sex and definitely never experienced love, and how lucky am I that I have got to experience the joy of love, but unfortunately the crushing pain of it as well. We have ended on good terms and I have to keep it that way. My very last message to him was kind and loving and his last message back to me was too... so whenever I think about sending one more message.. I stop myself because forever when he sees it there, I want him to see and remember that this is how it ended with love.
I am not ok... but I will be. 🫶

waking up and feeling that wave hit before i even got out of bed.
Its so hard. sending you love.
when you get the urge to message him, what is the thing you’re hoping he’ll say back
having to physically stop myself from sending “one more message” because i wanted my last words to be full of love, not panic. it’s such a hard kind of strength to choose kindness when you’re hurting this much.
yes, it truly is. 🫶
